pretentious self portrait

and that is how it started....

in the world we now live in where an image of ourselves is our label, our identity, our password...... those of us who are not photogenic, either choose to be represented  by a picture of a sunset or a cute animal!

The idea of nip tucking myself ...cutting a little cheek there, lifting a little eyebrow here, erasing 2-3 wrinkles, hiding some loose bits, did not appeal to me.

After all I am an artist, I add things to what already is, and not the other way round. I see beauty everywhere, and I like to bring it out.

Due to my new business path, my creativity has felt a little abandoned.

I thank my daughter for introducing me to this alternative way of expressing my creativity.

When I was younger my mother used to go crazy with me...said I always looked Sad and Melancholic in the pictures, maybe that is why it feels more comfortable to bring out that side of me in the photographs.

I could add Peter Pan to the image the Melancholic feeling will still invade the photo

Some photographs can change in so many ways
                                   the choices are endless..

If you desire a little artistic touch added to your photographs. you can comment right underneath or send me an email: armos_syros@yahoo.gr
I will let the photo talk to me.
this hobby is very time consuming ,every photo  takes from 4 to 8 layers and many trials to get to the satisfying point. I don't like putting a price on what I enjoy doing. So any donation of encouragement on my Paypal account to the email above will be very  much appreciated.
